Hi everyone, my name is Aanarav Sareen and I am one of the founders of P3 Media. As more of retail and commerce continues to move online, it is essential that your site be accessible and open to those using screen readers or other assistive devices. One way to accomplish this is to make changes to the core code of your site that will allow the site to be fully accessible natively. However, that process is time consuming and could get very expensive. Another option is to use a 3rd party app. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how you can use AccessiBe to make your site more accessible. To sign up, visit accessibe.com and sign up for a free trial. Once you’ve signed up for a free trial and customized the required settings, you’ll receive an embed code that you can place on your Shopify store. Copy this to your clipboard. Once the embed code is copied, go to “Themes” and under “Actions,” click on “Edit Code.” Go to theme.liquid, and paste the code at the very end of the document. Hit “Save”, and preview your theme. That’s it! By using a third-party tool (and there are quite a few of them), you’ve made your site instantly accessible to significantly more users. To learn more, visit pthreemedia.com.
